Mega Charizard X ex 125
The card the set is chased for. danciao shows Mega Charizard X in dark blue flames, with Charmander and its evolutions in orange fire along the bottom of the card. It is the only card in the table that sells for hundreds of pounds raw.
Seven raw sales on 17 October were used, and the middle five ran from £405 to £506. More than 34,000 copies have a PSA 10, so a 10 is not scarce. The PSA 10 median is about £1,271, under three times a raw copy.
Mega Charizard X ex 130, the grading outlier
The gold card, and the one where raw and graded prices drift furthest apart. The Mega Hyper Rare is the same Mega Charizard X ex artwork printed in gold, credited to takuyoa. Six raw sales on 16 and 17 October put the middle four between £135 and £149.
A PSA 10 has a median of about £1,692, roughly twelve times a raw copy. That gap shows buyers pay a lot for a perfect gold copy. It does not mean grading one will pay. Fees, postage both ways and the chance of a 9 rather than a 10 all come off the top. Our UK grading guide walks through those costs.
Only 2,021 copies have a PSA 10, against more than 34,000 for the 125. That is part of why the graded price of the gold card sits above the special illustration rare.
Mega Charizard X ex 109
The affordable way to own the Charizard. The Ultra Rare is a full art with Mega Charizard X against a pink and green background, and it sells for £13 to £18 raw. Eight sales on 17 October were used.
It is the third most valuable card in the set, but the figure is a small fraction of the 125 or the 130. Over 22,000 copies have a PSA 10, so a graded copy is easy to find.
Mega Sharpedo ex 127
The best of the rest. nagimiso draws Mega Sharpedo leaping through bright blue and purple water. Raw sales sit between £13 and £14, a tight spread across six sales on 16 and 17 October.

How we priced these cards
We read the most recent raw eBay completed sales for each card, up to ten, from CardTrack's sold-sales ledger, which covers the UK, US and other eBay sites. With six or more sales we drop the single highest and lowest, then quote the range of the rest. With four or five sales we quote the middle value only, and with fewer than four we leave the card out. Dollars are converted at £0.7499 (16 October 2026).
PSA 10 figures are the median of PSA 10 completed sales, shown only where at least 500 copies hold that grade. The population figures are PSA's own counts as recorded in the ledger. The full method is in our guide on how to value Pokémon cards.
A note on pull rates

Collector notes
- Three cards called Mega Charizard X ex. 125 is the special illustration rare, 130 the gold Mega Hyper Rare and 109 the Ultra Rare. The number is the only quick way to tell which one a listing means.
- Two Dawns. Dawn 129 is a special illustration rare by Atsushi Furusawa and Dawn 118 an Ultra Rare by Yuu Nishida. Check the number before you buy.
- takuyoa drew both the gold 130 and the Ultra Rare 109. The same illustrator, but one sells for about nine times the other.
- Compare grading populations. The 125 has a PSA 10 population above 34,000 and the 130 just over 2,000, which changes what a slab is worth over a raw card. Our guide to holo and reverse holo cards and the rarity symbols guide help you read a listing correctly.
