Best Ascended Heroes Chase Cards and Current Values

Mega Gengar ex 284/217 tops the Ascended Heroes table, with Pikachu ex 276/217 close behind. Gengar's middle price is about £562 and Pikachu's is about £544, so the two are within £18 of each other. Mega Dragonite ex 290/217 is the clear third.

Mega Gengar ex 284/217

The card at the top, though only just. danciao draws Mega Gengar looming out of a swirl of red, purple and green, with its grin filling the top half of the card. It is a full art, so the picture runs edge to edge.

We found five raw sales, all on 16 October, with a middle price of about £562. That is a thin sample, so treat the £18 gap to Pikachu ex 276 as a tie rather than a ranking. A PSA 10 has a median of £1,319, a little over twice a raw copy, and more than 10,000 copies hold that grade.

Pikachu ex 276/217

The steadier of the top two. booota places Pikachu in a sunlit forest, with light coming down through the leaves. Eight raw sales between 16 and 17 October ran from £506 to £596 once the highest and lowest were dropped.

PSA 10 copies have a median of £1,597, close to three times the raw price, and that is the highest PSA 10 figure on this list. The graded population is 8,438.

Mega Dragonite ex 290/217

A big step down from the top two, and still the third-priciest card in the set. DOM paints Mega Dragonite on a pale background full of pink and blue swirls, with small Dratini and Dragonair around it. Seven raw sales ran from £285 to £356.

A PSA 10 has a median of £919, roughly three times a raw copy. The set has a second Mega Dragonite ex, number 295, which is a different card at a much lower price.

Pikachu ex 277/217

With only four sales, check recent listings before you rely on that figure. A PSA 10 has a median of £629, a little over twice the raw price.

Mega Charizard Y ex 294/217, the grading outlier

Raw, Mega Charizard Y ex 294/217 sells for £172 to £225. A PSA 10 has a median of £1,578, roughly eight times a raw copy. That is the biggest raw-to-PSA 10 gap of any card on this list, and it is nearly level with the PSA 10 price of Pikachu ex 276, which costs about three times as much raw.

The card is an all-gold Mega Hyper Rare, so it is hard to judge from a photo, and PSA has graded 1,531 at 10. That gap tells you where the value sits: a flawless gold card is worth far more than an average one. It does not tell you that grading one will pay. Mega Dragonite ex 295/217, also a Mega Hyper Rare by aky CG Works, shows the same pattern on a smaller scale: £121 to £135 raw against a PSA 10 median of £787, over six times as much.

• Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex 281/217 by Mitsuhiro Arita sold for about £161 raw, from five sales.
• Mega Dragonite ex 295/217, the Mega Hyper Rare, sells for £121 to £135 raw. Only 844 copies have a PSA 10.
• Lillie's Clefairy ex 280/217 by Naoki Saito has a middle price of about £98 from four sales, with a PSA 10 median of £199.
• Mega Feraligatr ex 274/217 by Souichirou Gunjima sells for £52 to £67 raw.
• Steven's Metagross ex 289/217 by chibi has a middle price of about £46 from four sales.

How we priced these cards

We read the most recent raw eBay completed sales for each card, up to ten, from CardTrack's sold-sales ledger, which covers the UK, US and other eBay sites. With six or more sales we drop the single highest and lowest, then quote the range of the rest. With four or five sales we show the middle price and the sale count, and a card with fewer than four sales is left out. Dollars are converted at £0.7499 (16 October 2026).

PSA 10 figures are the median of PSA 10 completed sales, shown only where at least 500 copies hold that grade. The population figures are PSA's own counts as recorded in the ledger. The full method is in our guide on how to value Pokémon cards.

A note on pull rates

We do not publish pull rates for Ascended Heroes. There are no official odds, and community estimates vary with sample size and product. Our guide to pull rates explains why.

Collector notes

• Two cards called Pikachu ex. 276 and 277 are both Special Illustration Rares, by booota and James Turner. The number is the only quick way to tell which one a listing means, and they sell for very different prices.
• Two Mega Dragonite ex cards. 290 is the Special Illustration Rare by DOM and 295 is the Mega Hyper Rare by aky CG Works. The 290 sells for roughly two and a half times the price of the 295 raw.
• aky CG Works drew both Mega Hyper Rares in the table, Mega Charizard Y ex 294 and Mega Dragonite ex 295.
• Graded supply is deep on the top cards. PSA 10 populations are above 5,000 for the top four cards. Compare several graded sales before you pay above the median.
