Choosing Pokémon booster boxes
A booster box is a sealed display box holding 36 booster packs from one set. It is how packs reach shops, and it is the largest amount of one set you can buy in a single sealed unit short of a case. Each pack in a modern box holds ten cards, so a box is 360 cards, with the rare slots spread through the box in a way that is meant to give a consistent spread of the set's rarer cards.
What is in the box
Thirty-six packs, usually in four rows of nine, in a printed card box with a plastic shrink wrap over the outside. Modern English boxes from Scarlet & Violet onwards also seal the box lid with a tape strip under the wrap. There is nothing else in a booster box: no promo card, no sleeves, no code cards beyond the ones inside each pack. If a listing describes extras, it is not describing a booster box.
Which sets have one
Most main expansions do: Chaos Rising, Perfect Order, Phantasmal Flames, Mega Evolution, Destined Rivals, Journey Together, Surging Sparks and back through the series. The sets that do not are the special sets built around bundles and Elite Trainer Boxes instead, such as 151, Prismatic Evolutions, Ascended Heroes and Crown Zenith. Nobody sells an English 151 booster box because one does not exist; the boxes you see with that name are the Japanese product, which is a different set.
Who a booster box suits
Someone building a set who wants the most packs of that set for the least handling, or a group splitting a box between them. If you want the extras that come with an Elite Trainer Box, or you only want to open a few packs, the box is the wrong product and the bundles and ETB pages explain why.
How we will source and check them
From UK and EU distributors and from retail, never from private sellers or marketplace listings. On arrival we will check the shrink wrap for the factory seam and pull-tab, confirm the lid tape where the set uses it, and weigh packs from a sample of boxes in each case. Any box that fails stays out of the shop. The product page will tell you where the box came from.

Questions we get asked
How many packs are in a Pokémon booster box?
Thirty-six for every English main-set box from Sword & Shield to the current Mega Evolution series. Older eras varied; Base Set boxes held 36 too, but some early special sets held fewer.
Is a booster box better than buying the packs loose?
Per pack it is usually cheaper and the packs are guaranteed to be from a sealed box, which loose packs are not. Whether you want 36 packs of one set is the real question.
What does 'half box' mean?
Eighteen packs from a box that has been opened and split. It is not a factory product. If we ever list half boxes they will be labelled as opened and split by us, with the date.
Will you sell cases?
Not at first. A case is six boxes shrink-wrapped together. If there is demand we will list them as a separate product rather than quietly selling six boxes.
