Best Silver Tempest Chase Cards and Current Values

By TCG Emporium Editorial Team · Published 18 October 2026 · Updated 18 October 2026

Rayquaza VMAX TG20, from the Silver Tempest Trainer Gallery, leads the Silver Tempest cards with enough recent sales to price. Raw copies have been selling for £80 to £127, more than four times Lugia VSTAR 202 in second place at £22 to £28. The card our data values highest graded, Lugia V 186, is not in the ranking at all: it had no recent raw sales, so there is no raw price to quote.

All figures are English, single-card eBay completed sales from 7 to 17 October 2026, converted at £0.7499 to the dollar (16 October 2026). Last checked 18 October 2026. Lugia V 186 had no recent raw sales, so it is left out rather than guessed. Ranks 3 and 4 round to the same middle price, as do ranks 5, 6 and 7.

Rayquaza VMAX TG20

The Trainer Gallery's top card, and not close. Hideki Ishikawa draws a green Rayquaza coiling across a red and purple sky, with a trainer in a pale cape standing on a rock in front of it. The card is numbered TG20 and is the only ranked card with a raw price in three figures.

Seven raw sales between 15 and 16 October ran from £80 to £127 after trimming. The lowest sale, £38, and the highest, £139, were dropped, so this is also the widest spread in the table. Read the photos before you pay the upper end.

Graded copies are plentiful. Over 17,000 have a PSA 10, the deepest supply of any ranked card. The PSA 10 median is about £277, a little under two and a half times a raw copy.

Lugia VSTAR 202

The first big step down. PLANETA Mochizuki's rainbow-foil Lugia sweeps across a pastel swirl in red, yellow, green and blue. Seven raw sales between 13 and 17 October ran from £22 to £28.

A PSA 10 has a median of about £137, roughly five times a raw copy, with 2,651 graded. The gold version, Lugia VSTAR 211, sells for less raw, at £17 to £24.

Blaziken VMAX TG15

A flat price. KIYOTAKA OSHIYAMA has Blaziken leaping through a blue sky above a trainer in red who dives beneath a sweep of yellow flame. Six raw sales between 15 and 17 October left four after trimming, and all four round to £22, hence "£22 to £22".

A PSA 10 has a median of about £83, under four times a raw copy, with over 7,000 graded.

Rayquaza VMAX TG29

The gold-line version of Rayquaza. PLANETA Mochizuki draws the same Rayquaza VMAX as TG20 as a gold outline on solid black, and it is the Rare Secret of the two. It sells for £15 to £25 raw, about a fifth of the price of TG20.

All eight sales came on 16 October. A PSA 10 has a median of about £118, roughly five times a raw copy, and 11,015 copies hold that grade.

Lugia V 186, left out of the ranking

The graded favourite with no raw price. Lugia V 186 is the card with by far the highest PSA 10 figure in our data, and over 25,000 copies hold that grade. In the sales window it had no raw eBay completed sales at all, so we cannot say what an ungraded copy is worth. kawayoo draws Lugia in a storm of swirling cloud and lightning, with a figure standing at a railing at the lower right.

We give no price for it here. If a raw sale appears in a later check, it will join the ranking.

Lugia V 138, the grading outlier

Raw, Lugia V 138 sells for £10 to £12. A PSA 10 has a median of about £169, roughly fifteen times a raw copy, with 5,060 graded. That is the widest raw to PSA 10 gap of any card in our data that we can price both ways. It sits outside the top ten on raw price, but it is the clearest case.

The gap says a clean, well-centred copy is worth far more than an average one. It does not say that grading one will pay. Fees, postage both ways and the chance of a 9 rather than a 10 all come off the top. Our UK grading guide walks through those costs.

Further down the list

  • Unown V 177 by Toshinao Aoki scatters Unown over stepped stone ruins among palm trees, and sells for £19 to £23 raw.
  • Blaziken V TG14 by nagimiso is the V that goes with Blaziken VMAX TG15, at £18 to £23 raw.
  • Lugia VSTAR 211 is the Rare Secret version by PLANETA Mochizuki, a white Lugia on gold, at £17 to £24 raw.
  • Regidrago V 184 by Hataya sits among mossy ruins with a small white flyer in the sky at the top left. It sells for £15 to £22 raw.
  • Serperior V TG13 by Teeziro sells for £13 to £24 raw. One far higher sale, £93, was dropped by the trimming rule.
  • Alolan Vulpix VSTAR 197 is a Rare Rainbow by PLANETA Hiiragi at £10 to £21 raw.
  • Serena 207 by Megumi Mizutani sells for £11 to £12 raw, and Alolan Vulpix V 173 by 5ban Graphics for £8 to £10. Each has a PSA 10 population under 500, so we show no graded figure for either.

How we priced these cards

We read the most recent raw eBay completed sales for each card, up to ten, from CardTrack's sold-sales ledger, which covers the UK, US and other eBay sites. With six or more sales we drop the single highest and lowest, then quote the range of the rest. With four or five sales we quote the middle price only, and with fewer than four we leave the card out. Dollars are converted at £0.7499 (16 October 2026). Main-set and Trainer Gallery cards are ranked together by the same method.

PSA 10 figures are the median of PSA 10 completed sales, shown only where at least 500 copies hold that grade. The population figures are PSA's own counts as recorded in the ledger. The full method is in our guide on how to value Pokémon cards.

A note on pull rates

We do not publish pull rates for Silver Tempest. There are no official odds, and community estimates vary with sample size and product. Our guide to pull rates explains why.

Collector notes

  • Trainer Gallery numbers start with TG. Rayquaza VMAX TG20 and TG29 are two different cards, a Rare Holo VMAX and a Rare Secret, and they sell for very different prices. The number is the only quick way to tell which one a listing means.
  • PLANETA Mochizuki drew three ranked cards: Lugia VSTAR 202 and 211, and Rayquaza VMAX TG29.
  • Five Lugia cards in our top data. Lugia V 138, 185 and 186 are three separate cards by Mitsuhiro Arita, 5ban Graphics and kawayoo, and 202 and 211 are the two VSTARs. Lugia V 185 sells for £11 to £15 raw, a little above 138 at £10 to £12.
  • Two Blaziken cards in the top ten, the V (TG14) and the VMAX (TG15), priced within about two pounds of each other.
  • Graded supply is deep. With four-figure PSA 10 populations on most ranked cards, there is no shortage of slabs. Compare several graded sales before you pay above the median.
  • Check the reverse holo isn't being sold as something more. Many main-set cards have reverse holo versions that share the standard card's number. Our guide to holo and reverse holo cards shows the difference, and our guide to rarity symbols covers the rest.

Questions collectors ask

What is the most valuable Silver Tempest card?

Among cards with enough recent sales to price, Rayquaza VMAX TG20 by Hideki Ishikawa. Recent raw sales run from £80 to £127, with PSA 10 copies around £277. Lugia V 186 has the highest graded figure in our data, but it had no recent raw sales, so we cannot price it raw and leave it out of the ranking.

How many cards are in Silver Tempest?

215 in the main set, plus 30 in the Trainer Gallery, numbered TG01 to TG30.

Is a PSA 10 Silver Tempest Rayquaza VMAX rare?

Not especially. PSA has graded 17,668 copies of TG20 at 10. That is why a PSA 10 sells for under two and a half times a raw copy rather than many times more.

Next review due 18 January 2027. We update this guide sooner when prices shift by more than a fifth, or a reprint of Silver Tempest reaches UK shops.
